How to Clear Market Cache on Your Android

If you have a WM8650 tablet and not all android applications are displayed after a firmware upgrade you may want to clear the Android Market Cache to fix the issue. Here is how to do it:

1. Log in to the Android Market with your Gmail credentials
2. Open the Android Market Page & then press the home button to return to the home page
3. Go to Settings -> Applications-> Manage -> Running
4. Press "Market"
5. Press "Clear cache" (do not clear data)
6. Press "Force stop"
7. Return to "Settings \ Applications \ Manage \ Running"
8. Press "Google Services Framework"
9. Press "Clear Data"
10. Press "Force Stop"
11. Start Google Market, it must give an error
12. Reboot, once back Market should work, if it gives an error it could need another minute to work
13. Test the access: search Skype, Angry Birds on the market, it should return 400+ results including the original Skype and Google's maps

4. In the lower left corner you will accept the size, then wait a second for it to set as wallpaper
5. Once you receive a confirmation that it has been set, hit the home button and view your wallpaper

If you happen to hit the home button before the device confirms that the wallpaper is set, it may not actually set it so you will have to go back and do it all again. Error on the side of caution and give it a few seconds to complete and set itself as the wallpaper.

How to format an SD card

2. Hit your phone's menu button. In the menu, locate the "Settings" or "Setting and Tools" option. Browse the "Settings" menu for the "Memory" option. 3. Locate the "Card Memory" option from and then choose the format option to erase the SD card.

Before you do Hard Reset: Safe Mode on VIA WM8650

This simple procedure can resolve a lot of issues on the VIA WM8650 Tablet. When there are too many applications loaded on the tablet or there is just one problem application, the tablet may go into a force close loop. And no matter how many times the device is restarted all applications will keep closing. You may not be able to remove the 'problem app' without a hard reset which erases all settings and downloads from the tablet. Fortunately, there is 'Android Safe Mode' which enables you to unistall the application causing issues without performing the 'hard reset'

1. Power on the tablet
2. Wait for Android Animation to finish
3. When it says "Loading" press and hold the 'MENU' button
4. As soon as the tablet begins vibrating release the 'MENU' button
5. The tablet will vibrate once more before it turns on
6. 'Safe Mode' should be displayed in the lower left of the screen
